“Fijne kamer met heerlijk balkon, rustige ligging hoog op de berg”
We had read that the hotel was a long walk from the boulevard. Because the road is fully paved, and we only walked early in the morning or late in the evening (after dinner), we avoided the heat and enjoyed a pleasant walk up and down (we are 53 and 56 years old and fit; I can imagine it would be hard for small children after a day at the beach when it’s hot). The room was spacious, the shower alternately lukewarm, and unfortunately it was not cleaned. We stayed for 3 nights, and the day we left would have been the cleaning day. Because the sun shone beautifully into the room at night, you could really see how much dirt and sand lay on the floor. The view was beautiful, the beds by the pool were lovely (towels for the pool were provided), and although the pool wasn’t as blue as in the photos, it was cleaned every day. The curtains were light, so if you’re awakened by morning light I’d bring a sleep mask. We had a nice, spacious balcony where we ate our own yogurt with fruit and granola every morning – a wonderful quiet start to the day. The only negatives were that despite a 3‑night stay there was no cleaning, and we sat close to the bar, which could be quite noisy in the evening.
