I’m almost in the historic center, so everything is walkable and I didn’t need a car to get there, even the bus station is nearby. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I stayed in a room above the entrance door, so I could hear everything; sometimes people were chatting loudly late at night and the door would slam very hard.

What I liked most was the breakfast – it was really good! 😋 The sheets and towels were clean, and the shower had hot water for a comfortable wash. When I arrived, I rang the bell and clapped several times for about 27 minutes, but nobody was at the front desk. Finally a friendly guy with a backpack came and checked me in. I felt the place often has no staff at reception, which is a downside, especially for first‑time guests who need help. On the last day, an embarrassing incident happened at breakfast: a staff member told me the breakfast would be served at Pousada dos Contos, so I went there. A woman approached me aggressively, arrogantly, and rudely, asking which room I was in. I said I was in room 4 at Pousada Bons Ventos, but she still treated me poorly. No matter any doubt about the stay or breakfast, a guest shouldn’t be treated like that, especially when following directions from the hotel. That incident left a bad impression at the end of my stay.
