Facing the lake with an incredible view of Mont Abang, the staff were quick and very kind. Sunset was calm, perfect for stargazing from the terrace. The bathroom water pressure was so low that we couldn’t shower properly, and we couldn’t get hot water at all over three days. The construction next door made the environment noisy, which is a shame in such a peaceful setting. A fridge in the room would be a plus!

Everything was perfect! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, giving great tips for nearby tours and activities, and even showing me the hot springs and the option to book a Mount Batur tour on the spot—though I didn’t go because the weather was bad. The included breakfast was delicious, the room was beautiful, spacious, clean, and the view from the bed was breathtaking—you could see the mountains right from your bed. A true 10/10 experience thanks to the wonderful staff and the amazing setting. The only caveat: you’ll need a scooter to get there and around, as restaurants and shops aren’t within walking distance.
