“Patru zile in Istanbul”
The location is quite good, close to the Aksaray T1 tram stop that goes to the tourist area: Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, the Bosphorus tourist pier (Eminönü), etc. Parking is in front of the hotel (costs 600 lira per day, cheaper on Sundays when it’s free) and is paid to the person who manages it—no connection to the hotel. I paid cash as that was requested, although I saw Turkish citizens paying with card. Payment can be made any time during the day. There aren’t many parking spots, so it can get crowded, but I managed to secure one. The hotel’s services are good, it’s clean, and the room has everything needed: AC, TV, mug/teapot, coffee and tea packets, toiletries, slippers, etc. The bathroom is spacious with a sufficiently large and comfortable shower cabin. Breakfast is good, though it’s not a buffet; a platter with cheese, ham, pastries, butter, jam, honey, olives, a fruit, and optional eggs or omelet, tea or coffee, juice or water is served to each person by a waiter (included in the price). The hotel elevator works well. The room isn’t very spacious, but it’s clean. It’s a bit noisy because the windows face Ataturk Boulevard, which is very busy, but closing the window is fine. The bed is comfortable, though it’s positioned against the wall rather than centered. There’s no coat rack in the hallway, so you have to hang a jacket on the chair back.
