The view from our room was amazing, and the location couldn’t have been better. The owners hosted a local wine tasting and blue‑grass music fundraiser on the grounds by the river for the Christmas fireworks, which was lovely on a perfect fall day. Walking your pup on a leash along the river bank or simply enjoying a morning coffee in the chairs provided by the hotel is a real treat.

The cabin was adorable and cozy, well prepared, close to the river, quiet, and fully stocked. Penni was a very kind and accommodating host.

The location was convenient and the room was clean with excellent staff. However, geese feces were everywhere, the shower and toilet area felt cramped, the shower made a high‑pitch squeal after a couple of minutes, and the toilet was falling apart. The rules state that dogs aren’t allowed on the second floor, but that didn’t seem to be enforced.
