Pousada Brisa da Mantiqueira

The room was cozy, comfortable, and the fireplace inside was the highlight for me. Breakfast was very tasty and filling, especially the cakes. The scenery at the lodge was beautiful, the garden was clean and well‑maintained. They lend glasses, which made it easier to drink wine in the room if it rained and made leaving difficult. The location isn’t near the main street, but I booked knowing I’d have a car, so it was fine. If you’re not driving, you should consider that. The room acoustics aren’t good and noise from one room can disturb another. The worst part was that breakfast only opens at 08:30 am. The coffee is excellent, but serving it so late was inconvenient.

The view was great, the outside comfort good, the coffee decent, and the location convenient, but the cabins were old, the toilet lid was broken, there was no bedside table, the door blind wouldn’t close, and there was no top sheet, which made the blanket touch my skin.

The lodge is a bit far from the center, but it’s still easy to find. The breakfast was amazing, with an absurd variety of very good foods. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Everything was spotless and super cozy.
