“Un lieu chargé d’histoire et plein de potentiel, malgré quelques points à améliorer”
The bed quality and mattress were good, and the room’s décor ties nicely into the castle‑monastery vibe. The place is rich in history and fully visitable, and Jules made the tour enjoyable. The environment is calm and relaxing. Breakfast is good, with drinks and pastries available at a pay‑what‑you‑like price in the kitchen, which guests can also use. However, the season brought bedbugs to the room (the host offered a bedbug vacuum). Cleanliness was poor: moldy shower tiles, dirty sink drain, spiderwebs, dust, a stain on the furniture, and a dead insect on the floor. Cleaning did not occur during the stay. The reception lacked professionalism for a monastery‑castle standard, though the hosts were friendly. Exterior décor could better match the buildings, though we understand the budget constraints.
