The Butchers is well connected to the city center by bike (about a 20‑minute ride) and public transport, with convenient metro and bus links. It sits in a quiet neighbourhood and is easily accessible, making it a solid base for exploring the city. The bed is in a loft and can only be reached by ladder, which might not suit everyone, but we knew about this beforehand so it wasn’t a problem for us.

Everything was fantastic. Neil and Merel were incredibly kind, attentive, and always quick to respond. The neighbourhood feels truly magical, and the accommodation itself is just as charming. They thoughtfully prepared a guidebook with all the information we could possibly need, and the place was fully equipped to make our stay comfortable. The area is wonderfully quiet, adding to its peaceful, almost enchanting atmosphere.

The apartment was unique and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and the breakfast was wonderful. It’s a little off the beaten track, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing!
