The hosts are amazing and very welcoming. The room and bathroom were spacious and close to the train station. However, there was no body wash when we arrived (we asked and it was later provided) and the hand soap was empty (we didn’t bother asking for more and just used the body wash), which I felt should have been checked before check‑in. The bedding could use a blanket since the sheets are thin. I was also surprised that we were expected to sort and separate our own garbage; it was my first time being told to do that on a vacation stay. The location was scary! The outside and surrounding area felt unsafe; my friend and I were followed, stared at (we’re black), yelled at in Italian for simply walking on the sidewalk, there was graffiti on the walls and garbage everywhere, and we were almost kidnapped! We had to run and decided to leave immediately after that. It’s an affordable stay with lovely hosts, but upon arrival to the area we should have left right away.
