The owner was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms offered plenty of space, complete with a fridge, cereals, milk, tea, and coffee.

The owner was pleasant, the rooms were simple but distinctly British and charming. Breakfast, though uncomfortable because it had to be taken on the bed in the room, still offered something warm—delicious potato pancakes on request. Coffee had to be brewed by yourself. The breakfast was on the bed, which was fine, but there was no dining room. Outside parking was limited to 2 hours with a parking meter, and overnight parking was free.

The location was good, and the fresh milk for tea, coffee, etc., was appreciated, as was the room size. However, there was no USB cable, the bed felt like it might collapse, and cigarette smoke lingered—later I realized my room was next to the front door where the smoke came from. When the fridge began to refrigerate itself, it sounded like someone peeing in a toilet from another room. There should be signs reminding people that others are sleeping there; the place was noisy, and the floorboards were squeaky.
