The location was good, the rooms were polished, and the cottage was nice with a decent breakfast. I did miss TV4, and if you have mobility issues the walk between the spa, cottage, and castle can feel a bit too much.

This hotel features fine dining, a private beach, and a 600 m2 spa with indoor and outdoor hot springs, saunas, and free bicycle rental. Rooms offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, private terraces, and minibars. The castle's private dock offers ferry access to nearby islands, and Västervik Golf Club is a 5-minute drive away.

The wellness facilities were lovely, though the pools were a bit cold, and the location was great. Rooms were clean and the staff friendly. The dining, both breakfast and dinner, was only average.

The spot was wonderful, the food tasty, and the staff friendly. The only downside was the shower cleaning: the floor had a lot of yellow residue that could be removed with a brush in the seams.

The cleanliness and comfortable bed were positives, but the location was awful and not worth the price. The room was a major disappointment: one side was right next to the road, separated only by a plank, and the other side offered full view into the courtyard. We had to keep the curtains drawn to feel any privacy. At nearly 4 300 kronor per night we expected a much higher standard, better placement, and a sense of exclusivity. The accommodation fell far short of the cost, and paying almost 400 kronor per person extra for spa access only reinforced the feeling that the price did not match what was offered. Overall, a huge let‑down given the high expense.
