Spion Kop Lodge sits on a 700-hectare farm, 15 km north of Winterton, bordering the Spion Kop Nature Reserve and historic battlefields. The lodge features double rooms with patio and en-suite bathroom, self-catering units with kitchen and BBQ facilities, a converted barn with reception, dining, and pub, conference room, and outdoor pool, offering guided tours, game drives, horseback riding, and bird watching.

The staff were friendly and the surroundings breathtaking—peaceful with beautiful views. The restaurant had a lovely vibe. The rooms were very comfortable, each with a bath and a shower (a delightful bonus). The rock pool was stunning, the place is pet‑friendly, and breakfast was delicious 😋. I’m seriously considering celebrating my next birthday at Spionkop Lodge. A small fridge in the room would have been nice.
