“Overall, I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Not safe and uncomfortable.”
I stayed briefly while taking my daughter to the University of Manchester; the walk to the uni was the only thing that kept me there. I can’t honestly say I liked anything about the place. Safety was a major concern: the main door was always open, there was no reception staff, and anyone could walk from the street straight to the room. There was no swipe card, just a regular key. The bathroom’s stand‑up shower was too small to bend down and scrub. The beds were hard and the bedding wasn’t clean; the pillows needed to be tossed. The hallway floors needed repair. Between 7–7:30 PM someone started vacuuming loudly enough to wake you, and there was loud phone talk, a dog barking, and a baby crying. It felt like a family lived there with no regard for guests. The walls were thin, so everything was audible. It was neither safe nor comfortable.
