The terrace overlooking the Mekong, complete with a hammock, was a highlight. However, the room was filthy, the bathroom was minimalistic and open to the sky, almost no doors shut, the fan didn’t work, and the outlets were not certified. For 300000 kip per night it feels expensive for the experience!

“Do not stay here!! They will scam you!!”

The property itself matched the description, you get what you pay for. But do not stay here if you want to avoid being scammed. When we arrived the shower was broken and we had to wait an hour for it to be fixed. There is no one at the reception, so you have to hunt for someone whenever you need anything. We decided to extend our stay because we liked the island, but we were asked to move rooms and had to wait until late afternoon to check in. When we returned to check in there was still no one there as usual. Once we finally found someone, the owner demanded more money from us for our previous two nights because the AC was on. There was no remote in the room to turn the AC on, so we didn’t want to pay more and couldn’t turn it on. She threatened to call the police and didn’t give us our money back for the next night. She must have turned it on herself to try and get more money from us. Very rude lady trying to scam two young travelers.
