“Long story short good place, bad maintenance, lacks shared spaces”

The vibe was great and the people were friendly, and the rooms were clean. Hostels should be social, but this one falls short. The rooms aren’t bad, the beds are ordinary but adequate for a night’s sleep, yet the pillows are absurdly small and staff won’t give another unless you push hard. On the first floor, two of the three bathroom doors were broken, which is pretty unacceptable. My bunk bed had a light and a privacy curtain, but both were broken. The biggest issue is the lack of a proper social space: there’s only a tiny eating area and a small spot near reception, and if you make any noise there, the receptionist shushes you like a child. I get quiet hours are needed for sleepers, but guests naturally want to mingle, and this hostel offers almost nothing for that, undermining why many choose hostels.

The bed was super comfortable, the interior was really clean—including the toilets—and the staff were kind and helpful.

The location is great and the staff very friendly. The place is clean, comfortable, and pleasant to stay in Istanbul. It’s just steps from the airport bus stop and only a few minutes’ walk from Taksim Square, which is convenient if you’re travelling to or from the airport. I liked the modern design of the hostel; it feels comfortable, stylish, and quite different from many other places in Istanbul.
