“Full of history, but lacking modern comfort”
The spot is spot on for getting around Dinan, and parking on the premises is a real plus even though it costs €13 extra. The building feels like a living museum – it’s clear a lot of work has gone into keeping the historic character, furniture and décor intact, which would probably wow anyone hunting for a deep historic‑house vibe. But for us, it felt more like a museum than a hotel: the furnishings and bathroom are very old‑school, the plumbing makes a lot of noise, and the shower is just a handheld sprayer over a tiny tub. There are also a ton of signs and instructions everywhere, which made it hard to just relax. We respect the preservation effort, but comfort and practicality were clearly sacrificed to keep the past alive.
