“Buono con alcune cose non proprio comode”
The buffet offered a wide selection of first courses, main courses and side dishes, so we could keep refilling whenever we wanted, which was perfect for picky kids; the drinks included tap water, soft drinks and wine, a nice touch. The evening baby dance and the general entertainment were excellent, even for the adults on occasion. Our four‑bedroom room had a double bed and a suitably sized bunk bed, leaving enough room for a stroller. The beach is nearby but not directly in front of the hotel; you have to walk 200 m, which is a hassle with kids, toys and sun. The shower’s mixing tap was faulty – the water would suddenly surge from cold to hot, then back again – a problem that was reported but never fixed. It’s not due to peak shower times; it’s a mixer issue. If you book via Booking, the reception will tell you that to use the beach you must go to the 72‑talisman bathroom and ask if they’re available – you understood correctly. If you book on the hotel’s site, they’ll give you the beach, otherwise you’re on your own to find, book and pay for it. The hotel has two buildings, each with its own dining room, but they only use one in the front building, which gets overcrowded. Sometimes you have to wait for someone to stand up to free a seat because everything’s full. The dining room is on a mezzanine level, served by a single four‑seat elevator that also serves the five upper floors of rooms. From the ground floor to the mezzanine with a stroller you often have to wait a long time; at times I had to carry the stroller up the stairs and my wife carried the kids. The mattresses are horrible spring beds – they compress and feel like your bones are on the slats.
