The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the early check‑in went smoothly. I arrived soaked on my first night, my jacket drenched, and they offered to hang it in the warm laundry room—small gestures that made me feel welcome. The restaurant and bar served good food at reasonable prices, and a 10‑minute walk takes you to South Beach Prom.

I left a house key at the hotel and the staff sent it back to me in a stamped, addressed envelope—very helpful.

The Wi‑Fi in my ensuite worked flawlessly, even though the hotel warned it might not. The room was comfortable and priced well compared to similar places. I had a TV and tea, so the basics were covered. The front door key was available 24 hours. Breakfast was optional but available each day, and the cold buffet was a good deal. However, the cooked menu was unreliable; they ran out of the egg dish. Trying to order at the unstaffed bar was awkward, so I waited until someone was passing by. The evening bar menu was all meat, which felt excessive. The lift was cramped, so I used the stairs; luckily my room was on the first floor.
