The Square

“Great location, modern, clean and comfortable.”

The Square is a modern hotel, conveniently positioned right next to Tivoli Amusement Park, within walking distance of Copenhagen’s biggest train and metro stations, and you can easily stroll to all the city’s famous shopping streets in the nearby Indre By area. The room itself was spacious, comfortably fitting two large suitcases and a carry‑on, with an equally large bathroom, plenty of thick hand, bath, and face towels, and amenities such as a nail file, travel kit, kettle, and tea. The shower water pressure was good and heated up quickly. Check‑in and check‑out were smooth, the room was clean and tastefully decorated, and it’s worth the price you pay. The only nitpicks were that the pillows were quite flat and the shower drain was a little slow to clear, which caused minor flooding at times.

“Would love to return for another visit soon”

The staff were the best I’ve met in a long time, and the location was spot‑on. The only downside was that the single beds felt a bit narrow for us, especially for the larger ladies.

The location was fine, but the apartment’s upkeep was terrible – the cleaning agency needs a replacement. It was filthy, the shower door wouldn’t close, and the other bathroom was also dirty. The closets were stuffed with throw pillows, quilts, and used bedding. There were no tea or coffee cups for six guests. In four days, you receive a set of two towels (one small, one large) per person; if you need more, you must pay €20 for an extra set. The terrace, which should have been the highlight, was neglected and unusable – a real disappointment.

The breakfast was varied, the hotel’s location was good, and the traffic noise didn’t reach the room; everything was very clean. The only issue was that the bed was too soft for my personal preference.
