Welcome drinks included alcohol and tasty cookies, which made for a fantastic arrival. Breakfast featured shabu-shabu, and the Genovese sauce was exceptionally delicious. I had expected a high‑end hotel to serve an omelette cooked right in front of me, but that wasn’t offered. Also, there was no soup ladle available.

The room turned out better than I had imagined, and I liked that the toilet and bath were separate. However, the bath was small and not very clean, and the dressing area was just a basket, which was a let‑down.

The large TV made watching easy, and the location overlooking the main bath was fantastic; the Japanese‑style room had a futon, and even the duvet felt clean. When it rained, I parked my car and wished the hotel would lend me an umbrella to get from the parking to the entrance.

The scenery was wonderful and both the dinner and breakfast buffets were delicious—highly recommend.
