The morning spread was decent, but I was a bit put off by some cleanliness lapses – I’d assumed it was a private rental and didn’t realize the owners actually live under the house, which wasn’t clear in the listing. Apart from that, the stay was pleasant and the host was super friendly, always ready to help out whenever we needed something.

The room itself was fine, yet the constant crack‑bang from the nearby shooting range made it hard to relax, and the shower looked like it hadn’t been updated in years. Those two issues really dragged the experience down.

Paul and his family made us feel right at home, even giving us a lift after dinner when there were no cabs, and the house had plenty of beds for our big group. The only downside was that the place could've used a thorough cleaning before we arrived.
