“Péssima, uma decepção!”
I’ve never given a low rating to Di Roma before, but this time it was impossible; the only thing we liked were the pools. We stayed in Lacqua III and as soon as we entered the room we were disappointed—not only was it a cubicle, which was okay, but the bed turned out to be two single beds pushed together instead of a double as advertised; turning on the air‑conditioner produced an awful noise, and despite our excitement for a family trip we tried to cope, yet the night was a nightmare with a hole in the middle of the mattress and the AC screaming, leaving us sleepless for two nights. When we complained, the staff were dismissive, saying they’d try to contact the responsible person for a room change but gave us little attention, then claimed they couldn’t and told us to come back later; later they said maybe after 14:00 a room might appear, maybe. We contacted the booking platform and they immediately “resolved” it; the agent was very attentive and apologetic, something the Di Roma staff never said. They moved us to another room where the bed was a proper double, but the AC was even noisier, the toilet was broken and leaking, and finally, fed up with the constant stress, we stopped complaining because confronting the reception staff and their inability to handle issues was absurd. In short, we left more exhausted, with a stiff neck and a terrible feeling of wasted money. 🙁
