“The worst possible Front desk experience”
The rooms were tidy and of average size, but the check‑in experience set a negative tone from the start. Instead of a friendly greeting, we were handed a long rundown of policies and rules, making us feel like potential troublemakers rather than guests—especially since we had booked the stay. It seemed the owners, who sit at the front desk, prioritize cost‑saving over guest comfort. The room felt like an extreme budget option: no tea or coffee sachets, no basic soap, and we had to keep going to reception for even minor requests. Bedsheets and towels were only changed if we specifically asked. The strict 8 PM visitor rule was a highlight: my cousin, who had fought Bangalore traffic, arrived a few minutes late and was denied entry. We were staying as a family, nothing inappropriate, yet the policy was ironclad, forcing him to book a separate room just to meet us. The owner initially quoted a ridiculously high rate before “generously” reducing it—truly thoughtful. The room access cards stopped working almost every time we left, and staff explained this happens if you go “too far” from the hotel. A housekeeping button in the room was essentially decorative; we pressed it, nothing was cleaned, and we were told to call reception separately. The staff refused late checkout because the hotel was full, but then became flexible once we agreed to pay extra. The location near Manyata is convenient, but everything else feels like the property is run with a single priority: save every possible rupee. If you value basic amenities, courtesy, and not feeling like an inconvenience, look elsewhere. I would not stay again.
