“Va bene per 1-2 notti non di più”
The location in Kri is good, the food is tasty, and the sunsets and sunrises are beautiful. The host never appeared in person, only communicating via WhatsApp, was somewhat unprofessional and misled us about the small, unsafe boat that took us to the ferry at Waisai (we had requested a fastboat and he insisted he would do his best to earn extra profit). In addition to the missed times, the local staff do not speak English, leaving us practically alone. The accommodation is very old, exposed, and unpleasant at night with wind, holes in the floor, an absolutely old and noisy bed, and a terrace with no balcony, directly on the barrier.
The structure feels a bit decayed, but the overwater bungalow is stunning. The shared bathroom, however, was not as clean as expected.
Very disappointing. The location is dreamlike, the food varied and of good quality, and the on‑site staff are very helpful, but the bungalow is poorly maintained and in bad condition. The welcome and contact with the manager are mediocre, with no reception: we were dropped off by boat near the accommodation, received no information about the advertised activities (Wi‑Fi only a few hours in the evening, and communication with the manager only via WhatsApp). On the second night, after heavy rain and a damaged roof, we were completely flooded inside (including the mattress), and the on‑site managers helped us, kindly and in the middle of the night, to move to another bungalow. In short, very disappointing, almost unacceptable, especially since our bungalow does not match the photo shown on Booking.

Herman and his family are exceptional hosts; they made us feel at home and were always ready to help. The food is homemade and delicious, and the house, though simple, has everything needed, including a mosquito net and amazing sea views. It was a fantastic experience and we would definitely return.
