It was great that nobody else was around, but my laundry ended up with a weird smell, probably because the washing machine itself was pretty dirty.

The futon was good and I slept soundly.

The interior and bedding were spotless, the amenities and towels plentiful, and the kitchen came equipped with a large fridge, kettle and microwave, which makes me want to book a longer stay. I messed up the check‑in and check‑out times, but when I went to the front desk they sorted everything out for me. Arriving after the Ōmagari fireworks left the check‑in time completely unclear; I tried both email and phone with no answer and never got a reply, which left me feeling very uneasy.
