Really cool place! Loved the decor and the bar is really cute. Travelled as a mum alone with 2 kids and returned at night - felt safe. Lots of shops around (co-op, starbucks, subway) and a short walk to the tube. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a great nights stay here!

The hotel was very convenient for Queen Mary University where I was working for a couple of days, and the man who welcomed me was efficient, enthusiastic, and made me feel at home. The bed was comfy and the shower was good, but I was disappointed to find the bedroom window wouldn’t open—seemed permanently closed. It was hot, so I turned on the air conditioning, yet it only blew air at me and felt unpleasant; a slightly open window would have helped.

This place offers good value near Mile End Underground station, with solid rail and bus links into London and the Olympic Park, and checking in was straightforward. On previous stays it had been noisy due to proximity to Queen Mary College and its student events, but this time the only disturbance was the occasional rumble of an underground train, which is expected given the closeness to the station.
