So dog‑friendly. Great staff at both the Farmhouse and the Inn. Superb evening food and a lovely vibe. Husband’s fried breakfast was a bit tough.

A unique gem. Loved the rooms named after the vineyards that made port, the décor, and the proximity to the pub with great food and a lively yet cozy atmosphere that’s rare nowadays. The staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary miniature ports, Yorkshire crisps, and homemade biscuits were a treat. Stayed in the Senhora da Ribeira room; the lack of TV was a plus. Quiet, with a lovely bath and separate shower. Overall top marks. We were a bit confused by the mention of a farmhouse shop and couldn’t find what it referred to. The bath plug let water escape, but these were minor issues in an otherwise happy stay.

Perfect for a stop‑over on the way to the Cotswolds. A very nice gastro pub across the road, owned by the same people, great for a meal. Breakfast was excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about.

The staff were original, very friendly and efficient, and everything I needed was provided in a warm manner; the rooms were comfortable and cosy, and the overall experience was beautiful.

The village location was a plus, but the room was small with a tiny shower en suite, there was no TV or coffee machine in the room, milk was located elsewhere, and there was no fridge so UHT milk would have been better; the price felt very high for what we received, meals were served at the inn a short walk away, the cooking was not great for either dinner or breakfast, and the cost of dinner was deducted from the bill because it was inedible, though that was neither here nor there.
