We had a lovely boat and a very relaxing holiday with plenty of facilities on board. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy. The only drawbacks were that the oven didn’t work properly and when we set up the sofa bed on the first night the screws on the central support came loose, though we still managed to use it.

The narrowboat was a beautiful all‑wood panelled vessel, perfectly suited for a multi‑day stay for two. Every system—motor, pumps, water, Wi‑Fi, kitchen, bathroom—was spotless and in great working order. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had all the necessary dishes, drinkware, flatware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, plus a few basics like seasonings and oil. Our host sent helpful instructions and videos ahead of time, gave personal onboard guidance, and stayed very responsive throughout our stay. Checking out was seamless and easy. We spotted birds, ducks, and swans all along the river, making the experience very relaxing, enjoyable, and unique.

We rented a narrowboat for a few days in September and Gary greeted us, showed us the boat, and gave us about an hour of sailing, mooring, and other practice before we set off on our own. The boat was lovely, and overall we had a really pleasant and calming few days on the river with beautiful weather. We visited Ely but couldn’t reach Cambridge because one lock was closed for repair. We had one or two minor issues, but the team were just a short phone call away for help and guidance. We would highly recommend this company and hope to return for another trip next year. The sleeping arrangements were quite uncomfortable, and we wish we’d taken up Gary’s offer of a spare fold‑out bed.

The houseboat was in a very well‑maintained state, clean and extremely well thought out. It was a huge pleasure to be guided by Gary. After two hours we were allowed to drive ourselves to Ely, which was a lot of fun, especially for our little family that we picked up there and headed toward Cambridge. Thanks a lot, Gary, for a fantastic experience. Philipp There was truly nothing to criticize; everything was as advertised. No negative points.
