The lodge felt cozy and spotless, with stunning views, and the family was incredibly gracious and welcoming, though an extra standing fan would have helped with the heat.

This spot in San Miguel is truly cozy, and the local boat ride from Flores island added a nice touch; Lesbia is very kind and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, and we even spotted iguanas on our deck—would recommend! The shower lacked hot water, but the heat here was so intense that it didn’t bother us.

The location is amazing—you can sit on a terrace and admire the water, and there’s a free iguana that lives there. The owners are very hospitable, friendly, and helpful, arranging trips and giving useful tips, plus we got to try a homemade meal by the host. The room itself is huge, fitting six people perfectly, clean with a wooden floor, and the amenities are more than enough for cooking. The only downside is the water, which isn’t always warm.
