The host checked in daily while we were away, emptied buckets and restocked utensils—very attentive! The 3‑bedroom suite is a bit dark.

The old Japanese house was charming and authentic.

A typical Japanese house in a quiet neighborhood far from Uno's center, though it could use better upkeep. The place wasn't very clean and is quite far from the train station and the port.

A stunning traditional house that exceeded my expectations with all the comforts I could ask for—spacious, spotless, and cozy. Its location is perfect, close to the port, Uno station, and local shops, and the area itself feels authentically Japanese. It was the best experience I've had in Japan so far. Thanks to the hosts for being so available and responsive! I even made a friend among the other guests :)

A wonderful traditional residence with an unusual floor plan, roomy and made of warm materials. I, as a solo traveler, stayed in the 4‑bedroom room. For 2 of the 3 nights I had the house entirely to myself (except for a big spider 🥲). The setting is quiet on the outskirts, with a small forest right behind the house. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but still okay—20 minutes on foot to the harbor/railway, 10 minutes to the bus stop. By the way, no need to fear spiders.
