“Charming hotel located in an olive grove.”
Casale La Macina is a charming hotel in an olive grove between Scopello and Castellammane del Golfo on Sicily’s NW coast. It was beautifully renovated from a historic farmhouse and oil mill 12 years ago. A short drive takes you to lovely beaches, and there’s also a nice swimming pool. The staff were charming and helpful, and the restaurant was excellent, offering many pasta and fish dishes and great wines. The room was large and clean, and the wifi was good. We strongly recommend it.

What a lovely place! We had a very pleasant stay in a tranquil setting with that special Sicilian vibe. The reception was excellent and we felt warmly welcomed; thanks for making our visit to Scopello even more special! Breakfast was great, with many options and the staff could add more items on request. I just wish I had more time to enjoy the beautiful area.

We had an exceptional stay and honestly couldn’t fault it. From the moment we arrived, everything was literally perfect. Our room was wonderful, the whole place had such a chilled and relaxing atmosphere, and the pool was incredibly clean. The cocktails and food were absolutely divine too – everything felt really well thought out. We are going to miss the breakfast! The hotel staff were amazing throughout our stay – so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We also loved how easy it was to park our hire car, which made exploring the area so convenient. One thing that really stood out was just how exceptionally clean everything was, which made the whole experience even better. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay here again. A beautiful, relaxing place in a gorgeous part of Sicily. If we were being completely picky – the paper cups in the room were not ideal.
