The building was very stylish, beautiful, and centrally located. The corridor smelled of food and the bathroom fittings were a little worn.

The bed was too soft for us and the mattress moved every time someone turned over, but that’s just our personal preference for a harder mattress and doesn’t affect our score—just a mention. We loved the food, all staff were helpful and very pleasant, and we will be back!!! The only issue was the mattress for us.

The room we stayed in was beautiful, clean and comfy. The staff were kind and accommodating. The breakfast was incredible with generous portions with a hot and cold drink and made the price such good value
The staff were brilliant at every stage of my visit and made up for some disappointments. The location was great for being in the middle of the old part of Rye, right in the centre. The room was basic but comfortable, above a busy restaurant, yet quiet by 10pm. I was disappointed not to be told before booking that breakfast wouldn’t be available until 9.30am; when I explained I had to leave by 9am, the chef kindly made me a takeaway granola. For the price, I was also disappointed to find instant coffee sachets in the room instead of a proper coffee machine. Little details like that would have raised my score.
