The building is such a beautiful old structure, and the bed was very very comfortable; everything we needed was there, including a fridge in the room. It’s dog friendly and the breakfast was exceptional. It’s located down a track, but our sat nav found it without problem and the spot is suitable for visiting our friends in Inverurie, 25 min away. There was nothing we disliked. It offered exceptional value for money, far far cheaper than what we paid the next night elsewhere further down the coast for much less quality of room and breakfast.

“A legesleg!”

We received an extremely kind welcome. The bedroom was huge, the bathroom almost apartment‑size, and it had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. A cute plush bear and a chocolate from the host were there. In the evening the living room had a lit fireplace, the bar offered a wide selection, and two friendly dogs visited us as a bonus. The breakfast was so abundant that even a Russian army could be comfortably accommodated, and we were just two. Besides the hot dishes that could be chosen the previous night, there was a wide range of other items (cheese, ham, jam, honey, porridge, and many more). I have been to many places, but this one surpasses them all. Friendly, homely, pleasant, and I can still name many positive adjectives. Whoever you are and whatever you’re doing, book a stay here and you’ll get more than just accommodation, you’ll get a life‑changing experience. No negatives.

Fabulous stop‑over at Disblair House. Nothing was too much trouble for hosts Karolyn & Chris. The accommodation felt like home. Breakfast choice was second to none! Nothing we didn’t like.

We want to thank Karolyn and Chris, our hosts, for an absolutely fabulous stay; we wish it could have been longer. The rooms were spacious and full of amenities for us to use. The continental and cooked breakfasts were exceptional and kept us going all day. Highly recommend staying at Disblair House. No problems.

Loved it; the area was great, the room was perfect, the hosts were great, and I would definitely return. The dogs were a big highlight. No issues.
