The studio was fairly new and everything was finished well; the bathroom was tidy (though hooks were forgotten), the bedroom wasn’t very large but adequate, and the kitchenette with table and four chairs looked good. Overall, the construction was solid. When we arrived, only a woman who only spoke Croatian handed us the key. The Wi‑Fi was terrible; I called the owner and he promised to fix it, but the next morning it was still not working. Then I happened to see the Croatian woman again and she explained the issue with hand gestures. She gave me a router from another room, and it worked fine. We stayed five nights and after that, no one else was seen. The bed creaked badly, and we both woke up when it was turned. Very few pots and pans in the kitchen, no microwave or exhaust fan, and the kitchen area was poorly lit. There were no protective covers under the chairs or table. On the first night, people above us made a lot of noise with moving chairs and such. For most days we were alone in the building. It’s listed as 4 stars, but it should be 2. More attention to décor, service, and details would be a worthwhile upgrade. Note: a large new building is being constructed right next to Villa Stella Adriatica, so privacy is completely gone.
