Only the traditional room. But with a TV in Tokoname, it’s not necessary. The QR code for entry didn’t work, and online check‑in is only until 6 pm; if you’re one minute late, they tell you to stay on the street. It was difficult!

Traditional Japanese style, quiet, clean. They kindly provided heated fleece blankets. The kettle was available but there were no cups. A few simple steps on how to use the air‑con for heating would have been helpful, and clearer check‑in info/signage would have saved me from looking for a random door next to a restaurant tucked inside a vestibule!

The location was down an alleyway close to but away from the station. It was fine during the day, but I wasn’t comfortable walking back alone at night. The service was atrocious. There was no one on site and the phone number provided was a recorded message in Japanese with no way to leave a message. The Wi‑Fi was so bad that I ended up paying over $100 for my own data because it was unstable and unavailable for long periods. The first email I sent received a response telling me to look at the poster for the Wi‑Fi information, which I obviously had but it wouldn’t connect, as I had told them. Subsequent emails were simply ignored.

There was nothing positive. I was told by email how to check in, but when I arrived there was no staff and it was hard to get in touch, which was very confusing. The instructions said to refer to the “received email,” but that wasn’t helpful. The price was high and I can’t recommend it.
