Hotel Schlee, a 3-star countryside hotel, is located opposite Hohenschäftlarn S-Bahn Train Station. The hotel features traditionally decorated rooms with flat-screen TVs, a garden restaurant, and a terrace. Guests enjoy a rich breakfast buffet, free parking, and proximity to Munich (20 km), Lake Starnberg (9 km), and picturesque hiking and cycling trails.

Breakfast felt authentic with an Italian twist, and the location is perfect with its own parking and just 2 minutes to the S-Bahn stop to Munich Hbf or Wolfrathshausen. The only downside was room 29, which sits above the kitchen windows and I could smell some kitchen odors drifting into the room.

Even though the station is right next door, the rooms are quiet; the furniture is a bit dated but everything is clean and well maintained. The hotel’s top‑class Italian restaurant sits right on the premises, and the breakfast is good and plentiful with excellent coffee. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and parking is free. The only issue was the very weak Wi‑Fi signal in our room.

The place is great for a transit stay, has a free large parking lot, is clean, the staff are friendly, and the breakfasts are really good. I recommend it.

The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, and the service was great. However, the nearby train line and street make it too loud.
