Everything was dirty and disgusting; I didn’t like anything, and everything looked ugly.

The place was quiet and not far from everything.

The area wasn’t too bad and they offered free breakfast, though I didn’t take advantage of it. The room I stayed in wasn’t completely clean; I found strands of hair by the bed and in the bathroom that weren’t mine or my partner’s. Some of the lights were very dim, with bulbs close to burning out. One day in, I started getting bitten and realized it was a bedbug, leaving four nasty bites on me and a dead bedbug in the mattress after I stripped the sheets. When I told the front desk, the gentleman working in the kitchen during breakfast insisted that my partner and I must have brought the bedbug in, claiming the rooms are well maintained and no one else had complained. I took offense at his remarks about the housekeeper, calling him an uneducated Hispanic man, which caused my partner to raise his voice. He eventually calmed down, asked us to send photos of the bedbug to his phone, and then changed our room. He said he wasn’t supposed to change rooms because he’d get in trouble with the manager, who was out of office until the next day, so he told us to leave our belongings in the original room while we stayed in the new one. We moved everything and found the new room worse: only the two lamps above the bed worked well, the entrance light didn’t work at all, the bathroom light barely worked and flickered, and a phone flashlight was better for the bathroom. More hair appeared by the bed, on the counter, in the bathroom, and even on the bed itself.

Leaving this place was a relief. The building was old, dirty, run-down, and bug-infested; the rooms smelled bad and the people staying or loitering seemed sketchy. I slept with the light on to keep the bugs hidden, didn’t shower because the tub was rusty and dirty, and would absolutely avoid this place.

I never liked the place at all, it was the worst I’ve ever booked, and the parking lot was full of homeless people walking around during the day.
