The place has a great location and views, and the space was clean. The stay was fine, but we didn’t see any staff until checkout, although someone texted us to see if we were enjoying it. The patio could use more comfort, perhaps some shade from the harsh sun. What really upset me was the last 15 minutes of checkout: after retrieving a few items from the car, we returned to the apartment door and the code was inactive, so we couldn’t get in. A text said the code might have glitching, but it hadn’t happened during our stay until we were checking out. How do you lock paying customers out of a fully paid room just 11 minutes before official checkout? That delayed us another 15 minutes because no one on the property could help, so I had to call the office manager for a one‑time code to retrieve the rest of our belongings. I was planning to return for my next trip to Panama, but I’ve decided it won’t be the best option for me. Thanks for ruining the last few minutes of our experience at Calypso!
“U loved looking att the ocean”
The spot is within walking distance, which is great, but I couldn't relax on the deck because of all the bugs, and some of the staff were rude.
We stayed on July 4th and the balcony view was amazing; the fireworks from the city pier and the crowds along the beach were spectacular. The pool felt a bit small and it was hard to move around other families because it wasn't wide enough.
“Great time!”
The place is spotless and right next to Pier Park, so every visit to Calypso was a breeze!
The location is excellent, with a fantastic sea view right on the beach, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, and two beach loungers per unit; many restaurants are within walking distance. I was bothered that the garbage fine was mentioned before I arrived—shouldn't it be assumed people take their trash out?
