The place is tiny but really comfy, right in the heart of Itu. The host was polite and always ready to lend a hand. We walked to the nearby square in the evenings for a few bars, cold beers and snacks – perfect for a family night out. I liked it so much I’ll be back.

There’s no reception desk or staff on site, and the rooms are all shared. Staying in a house where you’re bunking with strangers and no manager around felt a bit uneasy. I wish there’d been someone to oversee things.

The room was spacious and the bed linens were spotless, and the staff were friendly and patient when we needed anything. On the downside, privacy was limited – the kitchen is communal and you keep running into other guests, the fridge was off so my non‑perishables stayed warm, and it took a while for hot drinks to cool. Also, a shop front right next door added some noise.
