The food at the Crazy Horse bar was lovely and the people were very friendly. The surroundings were picturesque. There weren’t enough lights when walking at night and I tripped over the speed bumps.

The caravan itself was great, with its own decking and plenty of space. It was cleaned beautifully and the beds were made pristine. Andree called before arrival and was super helpful. We ate at the bar twice, had breakfast, and played bingo. The walk for the dog through the wooded area was perfect. The spot is ideal for getting anywhere and is very reasonably priced. The walk from the lodge to the main bar is about 10 minutes and makes for a great evening stroll through the park and cabins. We would definitely book again. We saw so much of this wonderful coastline and the inland areas, all easily reachable. We even took the dog on the train to Edinburgh! Great holiday. The only downside is that the holiday park could use more staff for general upkeep and some repairs on the play park and round bins. A little paint would help, but Lotus Lodge is nicely tucked away from the main area, excellently presented and really peaceful.

I was thrilled with how spotless everything was and the spot‑on location that let us hit Cragside and Lindisfarne without a hitch, thanks to the clear directions for parking. The only hiccup was the satnav misdirecting us to the zoo instead of the campsite – make sure you double‑check the address.

We had the most fantastic trip from start to finish, with our 2 young children. Excellent caravan, location, cleanliness, facilities and exceptional host! Would highly recommend, thank you 😊. Nothing at all - nothing bad to say
