Three double rooms share a bathroom, each with a solid AC and a coffee maker, plus a small kitchen. It’s a great spot if you just want a few days to unwind in total seclusion. The Belgian owner, who’s lived in Bulgaria for years, is very friendly.

The room was big and bright, with a watercooker for tea or coffee, a basic shower and toilet just for guests, and a sunny garden. The owner speaks several languages and the place is clean. But the outdoor kitchen is open to the four dogs, and two of them would jump on me and beg for food while I cooked—just put a gate at the bottom of the stairs. The house is noisy at night: pipes ticking, machines buzzing, other odd sounds. The mattress was awful, dented, and the roller blind was stuck.

The accommodation is well organized, the bed is comfortable, the atmosphere in the B&B is pleasant, and the price is good.

We found Rogozen B&B to be a perfect spot. We stayed 11 nights and the hosts were super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean with plenty of fresh towels and bedding, and the top veranda had all the cooking amenities we needed. We slept like babies on what we think is the best mattress in Bulgaria. We’re in love with their four dogs and already miss them—can’t wait to come back next year.
