The room was comfortable, the pool great, the setting lovely, and breakfast was good. The only downside was the mosquitoes outside, but that’s just France.

Breakfast was fantastic: every day a fresh fruit salad with a variety of fruits, fresh pastries, fresh bread, Greek yogurt, coffee, tea, or chocolate. More than the meal, Jacques and Véronique’s willingness to chat about the day’s plans or share the latest news delighted us. The best part of the day was that Proust‑style Madeleine breakfast. We also tried the pool in a beautiful setting, thoughtfully organized. Thirty minutes from the sea, near the Verdon Gorge gates, close to the Ste Roseline and Taradeau vineyards, and villages offering much cheaper meals than the seaside fronts, this trip was our first “inland” visit, but we’ll return, first and foremost for the hosts’ smiles and warm welcome. Thank you, really! Honestly, nothing—yes! Time constraints prevented me from trying the homemade billiards table with its impatiently rolling balls; that will be next time.

Everything was perfect: the welcome, the cleanliness, the location—quiet and really great. Just wish the rooms had a TV, but otherwise it was top.
