“Lieu atypique et très agréable”
The property is housed in a historic manor with a large, fenced garden and a pool and terrace, but the bathroom feels a bit cramped.

The spot is gorgeous, delightfully eclectic with classic paintings alongside modern desk lamps, a nice pool, and a DIY bar.

The ancient house is beautifully designed and well‑maintained, and the owner, the energetic, welcoming, and smiling Nicole, was a pleasure to talk to. Unfortunately we stayed only one night, so we missed the pool (small but tempting). Breakfast was very good. The house sits within a sizable plot, quiet and perfect for a quick break. It’s very close to the city of Vienna, a lovely place worth a few hours’ visit, and if you decide to go, crossing one of the bridges and then heading straight to Saint‑Romain‑en‑Gal to see the museum with impressive mosaics and other important finds from Roman villas unearthed there is recommended. We had to leave too early.

After passing the secure gate, we enter a real park with a large, charming house from another century. The owner greets us warmly and enthusiastically, giving us a tour. Our room and its private bathroom, as well as the other rooms of the building, are very cozy. The Gabetière rooms are richly decorated with taste and authenticity… We cross a door from another era with 17th‑century parts, a Sherlock Holmes‑style lounge, a well‑stocked bar. The outdoors invites serenity with a refreshing pool and small, cozy corners scattered in a green space. The lunch buffet is plentiful, varied, and tasty, with some homemade dishes. The owner’s kindness and attentiveness (“dame” Nicole), who splits herself into four to meet your wishes and needs, is unique. We had an excellent, restorative night after a long journey, very calm. Everything was perfect, down to the smallest detail! An address I keep very precious! (PS: Excellent restaurant 2 minutes by car from the Gabetière …)
