The staff were very good and the value for money was solid, but the hotel feels a bit dated and could use a renovation.

We have stayed at Hotel Trevenque for many years, even with family members who have passed away, and we have always enjoyed a wonderful stay. However, it has been a long time since our last visit to Sierra Nevada, and I have found the pleasant tranquility the accommodation offers, as in previous occasions. Unfortunately, Trevenque has become an outdated accommodation with the passage of time and the practical absence of maintenance. The room emitted an unpleasant odor from the moment we arrived, which we understood was due to the numerous works being carried out, although we later discovered it came from the sink drain. The small refrigerator was broken, as the front plate produced a lot of ice, causing several cold coffee containers to break (which we had to clean ourselves). There were few table utensils (cutlery and crockery); the same single plastic placemats; no oven, and the same 25‑year‑old toaster that leaves burnt toast. In short, everything was average.

The facilities and location were great. The bathtub was not good; I would have preferred a shower tray.

The bed could be improved, but the location was excellent. My room had no view.

The room was spacious and had great views, but it was hot and full of mosquitoes when the window was opened, and if it wasn’t opened, the heat was even worse. The facilities had no air conditioning. The door broke and couldn’t be opened; a gentleman came at 12 am to open it, but the next morning it was still unusable and they had to come again to try to open it, and it broke again at night. My friend was given a very bad room: small, dark, and only with a view of roofs. The next day, after much insistence, they changed her room.
