Our time at Gampi Camp turned out to be one of the most beautiful moments of our lives! The camp sits alone in the middle of the desert, surrounded by towering sand dunes, far from any other camps or anything that could disturb the calm or the genuine desert vibe. Gampi himself is a fantastic host—very polite, friendly, kind, and welcoming—just like his assistant. In the evening they cooked a generous meal for us that was arguably the best dinner we’ve ever had in Morocco! My girlfriend and I were the only guests that night, which made the whole experience incredibly romantic. At dawn we climbed to the top of a dune to watch the sunrise—an amazing experience I strongly recommend; the walk is definitely worth it. Breakfast at the camp was excellent. It’s a shame we didn’t have time to stay a second day to meet the nomad families, as Gampi had suggested. When you’re planning your budget, remember the cost for camel transport to and from the camp (40 euros per person) and the meal (20 euros per person). The bed sheets were clean. Don’t forget to bring warm clothes, because it gets cold in the desert at night. The bed and pillows were quite firm, but that’s probably just part of the experience. 😄

Gambi camp left an unforgettable memory for us; the 4x4 arrival that seems expensive at first turns out to be a true adventure through the desert dunes. Gambi kept us pleasantly surprised with things we won’t reveal on purpose. This adventure will stay in our minds. Let yourself be tempted by buggy activities – it’s great! Everything was perfectly organized, big thanks to Gambi and the driver of the camel and 4x4.

Very nice and authentic. The camp sits in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by endless sand. Dinner was good, the toilet was adequate, and the tents were as good as they can be in the desert. The price is still steep, but at least you know what you’re paying upfront. Gambi was helpful but not very friendly and didn’t bother to keep us company too much.
