The room was enormous, but communication was a nightmare since almost no one understood English or Japanese and the front desk seemed useless without a smartphone translator.

For a property in Haitang Bay the price‑performance ratio was excellent, with decent service, comfort and the Wanda brand holding up well, although the facilities showed their age.
