A charming, beautifully restored boutique hotel hidden in the town center, but if our taxi driver hadn’t walked us to the front door, we would have struggled to find it.

Very large, beautiful rooms and the whole house is tastefully decorated, but the front door on Grande rue feels a bit off-putting, though it can be overlooked.

Right in the center of Louhans we found this big, friendly house run by a very sweet and attentive host who listened closely to her guests. She let us sleep in late and stay past the usual checkout after a wedding night that ended late. The rooms were roomy, stylishly decorated and very cozy, with a little lounge area. The AC worked great. The lovely bathroom is worth a visit for its size and quality. Thanks again to Virginie for her kindness and advice, especially on parking. The only downside was that we didn’t get to use the reading and relaxation spots in the other rooms of the house, which are set in a calm, comfortable, tasteful setting. The book shelves made us want to sit in one of the nice armchairs.

“Nice boutique hotel in the middle of Louhans”

After unlocking several doors and locks we were greeted by Virginie, who was very nice. The room was unbelievable, big and with a large and modern bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the airconditioning worked like a charm. It does take several stairs and there is no elevator. So bring only a small pack for the night. There is no breakfast available, but the town has some bakeries.
