Martin was a fantastic host – we could reach him instantly on WhatsApp and he even sent us handy tips about parking and nearby eateries. The house itself felt lived‑in and fresh, a neat blend of old‑world charm and modern comforts, complete with a sauna, fire pit, grill, and a cozy fireplace for the chillier evenings.

We spent a sunny summer week at Petra and Martin’s chalupa and loved every minute – the house and garden are gorgeous and full of character, providing everything we needed for a relaxed stay. Directly from the property you can launch pleasant hikes, and after a trek there are plenty of good restaurants to refuel. Our dog was welcome everywhere, which was a big plus for us. Thanks for the warm welcome; we’re already looking forward to another visit.

The house is stunning – historic walls packed with little details that all feel intentional, and the whole place radiates peace and space. We enjoyed a beautiful living room, a separate room for workouts or unwinding, a fire‑pit area, and a sauna, plus a fully stocked kitchen for cooking.
