The room offers two single beds and can accommodate a crib if needed. A private bathroom with a shower is included. Air‑conditioning and tiled flooring provide climate control and easy cleaning. A wardrobe is available for clothing storage.
The price really matched the standard; at the time of booking it seemed one of the cheapest solo rooms with a private bathroom, though now there are more options at similar or lower prices. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was solid – no luxuries, but you won’t leave hungry: bread, butter, cold cuts, cheese, Nutella, yogurt, cereal, something sweet, coffee, tea, juices – plenty to choose from. The metro is close, just a few minutes to the station. A trip to Termini on line A takes 15 minutes, and with a transfer to line B the walk to the Colosseum is 25 minutes. Buses are an alternative, with a stop practically at the entrance. Line 46 takes about 8 minutes to reach St. Peter’s Basilica after 6 am. Another bus, 31, goes to the EUR Magliana metro station (metro to Lido di Ostia) – you walk 10 minutes to the stop and then ride 40 minutes after 8 am. There’s a lift and air‑conditioning that works well. The beds are decent; I slept on a better and a worse mattress in the past, but this one is fine. Nearby, several stores stay open late (a Carrefour Express among the larger ones) and there are local eateries – I didn’t use them because I ate closer to the center, but the hotel itself was fine to return to for sleep. The downside: sound insulation is weak. The windows are closed, the blinds are lowered (they’re anti‑break‑in), and on the third floor you can hear passing cars. Inside, you can clearly hear neighbors’ conversations, so if you’re sensitive or not fully rested, you’ll need the mandatory quiet hours after 23:00. Shower gels come in 10 ml sachets – hard to open with wet hands and the size is small, so you’ll probably buy something from the market (2–3 €) instead of dealing with the dispenser. Overall, the stay would rate 8–9 if not for one flaw: the shower cabin’s cleanliness. There’s mold on silicone, in corners, on the grout, on the shower head between the nozzles (after reporting it to reception it was promptly replaced), and dirt on the basin floor. Under the window in the room there’s also a solid mold spot (I understand that with the climate and closed windows mold will appear, but it’s not invisible and someone should clean these rooms). The wardrobe smells like old stuff, probably from the blanket lying inside – better not open it unless necessary. In the end, as a lodging place where you grab something in the morning, spend the whole day exploring Rome, return in the evening, shower (yes, flip‑flops), and sleep, it’s okay, and 7 is a fair score.
“Tidy, staff were lovely and accomodating”
It’s a great place, clean, good value for the price. The only downside was the lack of a window in the room, but that wasn’t a big deal.
“Sufficiente”
The location and staff were good. The rooms weren’t clean, there was no TV in the room, and breakfast hours were inconvenient.
The location was fine. The beds were uncomfortable, the few sockets (three) were either broken or half‑loose—only the bathroom one worked—and the room’s front door was badly damaged, swinging open if you pulled on it.
The quiet street on the Vatican side, a nearby bus stop, friendly and helpful staff, and a varied breakfast. The furniture, toilet seat, and taps need modernisation.
