An exceptionally beautiful place, full of loving details everywhere, with a stunning view of two volcanoes. The staff were super nice, and the drive (we didn’t have a 4×4) was organized quickly and smoothly. We’d return anytime.

The cabin sits high in the forest, a truly lovely spot. The owners were kind and the breakfast offered was unbeatable. There were several ants trying to get into the cabin, so we couldn’t leave any food outside or we’d attract the whole colony. The insulation was a bit lacking, with gaps in the wood letting in cold air.

The view of Turrialba is fantastic, and the ranch itself is beautiful with its own hiking trails. The hosts were warm, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The surroundings are dreamy. We went on a great guided horseback ride there (40 USD for 4 hours). This place was a real highlight of our trip that we absolutely didn’t want to miss! PS: don’t worry about the drive—using a small 4×4 (e.g., Vitara) is no problem at all!

I found this spot perfect for unwinding away from the city’s buzz—quiet, snug, and fully equipped. If you don’t feel like cooking, there’s a restaurant where you can pre‑order, or you can grab food at the many nearby eateries. The paths and views are amazing, so much so that I booked an extra night and would definitely suggest the sunrise cabin. Getting there is easy with a 4x4, or you can ask for a pick‑up if you need one.
